Maison Louis Jadot "Clos Vougeot" will accompany "haute cuisine" dishes. With its delicate yet powerful aromas, one would choose red meat, roasted or served with a sauce, roasted pheasant, leg of wild boar or venison and ripe cheeses which are not too strong : Camembert, Brillat-Savarin, Citeaux.

Good full medium red. Perfumed, high-pitched aromas of red cherry, licorice and rose petal. Not especially fleshy but sweet, precise and fine-grained, with terrific energy to the complex flavors of red cherry, spices, minerals and flowers. This boasts excellent detail and grip. The very fine tannins are buried under cherry and mineral flavor. Very juicy and long. A distinctly noble, perfumed version of Clos Vougeot.

Shows fine intensity, with a kirschlike flavor, a velvety texture and dense tannins. Spices from new oak add dimension, and a sweet fruit note persists on the finish. A more burly style, but satisfying.
